The Zebra: Striped Wonder of the Savanna

Zebras, with their distinctive black-and-white stripes, are one of the most recognizable animals in Africa. Found mainly in the grasslands and savannas, zebras are social animals that live in large herds, providing them with safety in numbers. Their stripes serve as a form of camouflage, helping them blend into their surroundings and confuse predators like lions and hyenas.

Zebras play an important role in their ecosystem by grazing on grasses and creating habitats for other herbivores. They are also known for their migration across vast distances in search of water and food, particularly during the dry season. Despite their resilience, zebras face threats from habitat loss due to agriculture and hunting. Conservation efforts are working to preserve their natural habitats and ensure that these beautiful animals continue to roam the African plains.
